WTiN, the publisher of Digital Textile magazine, is to hold a conference on the digital printing of home textiles at Heimtextil India, in New Delhi.
The South Asia Digital Textile Conference will focus on the newly emerging trend for industrial-scale digital printing of home textiles – exploring the creative and commercial opportunities offered by this development in the Indian market. There will also be an examination of the readiness of digital printing technology in the specific context of the massive Indian home-textile industry.
Indian retail sales of home textiles are growing at around 8% a year and are expected to reach $6 billion (Rs 27,350 crore*) by 2016. Globally, home textiles make up around 40% of the estimated 12 billion square metres of printed fabrics, and Indian printers represent a major share of this market.
