By popular demand, WTiN, is to organise a 2nd edition of the South America Digital Textile Conference – now co-located with FutureTEXTIL, South America’s first dedicated exhibition of digital textile printing technology.
Brazil has emerged in recent years as one of the global hotspots for digital textiles, spurred by the demand for its apparel fabrics; while at the same time, flags, banners and promotional wear also received a boost from the FIFA World Cup and the industry anticipates a similar effect from 2016’s Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Despite Brazil’s well-known economic woes, further investment in its already developed base of high-speed digital printing machines is expected to see production growth of 16% in 2016, with a total volume approaching 50 million sqm*. The WTiN South America Digital Textile Conference will cover both mainstream and emerging digital textile-printing sectors, tailored to the specific strengths of the Brazilian industry .
Note: The conference will be in both English and Portuguese, with simultaneous translation. Same programme will be delivered on both days.
